Hacksaw Ridge - It's a great movie, it's just a shame that so many parts of it are poor. The majority of the first hour is cookie cutter prelude to war stuff, especially the barracks. Luckily the battles are as good as anything you'll ever see and the general story of a convicted conchy is stirring.

I really enjoyed it, but i doubt i'll ever watch it again whereas i'll never not watch hamburger hill if it's on.

Watched 'Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” last night.

Was sitting balling my eyes out at the end man was horrible. No spoilers because he tells you right at the start but the ending just got me so much. Just reminded me of my grannie dying and set me off Warnock

Think it's the first time I've cried at a film like that

Kingdom of Heaven - 7/10

Another brilliant to look at yet slightly disappointing Ridley Scott film. Orlando Bloom goes from pleb to prince but doesn't carry the film or provide that much interest when much better actors are on screen with him. The siege of Jerusalem was brilliant.

Give it a few years and watch the director's cut. It's three and a half hours long but it's such a better watch.

Fair play. I never actually seen it, but apparently the theatrical release it pretty disappointing.

Chastain is an excellent actress. Her rack is very decent as well. Quite Good

As you said there it's not exactly the ''saddest'' film in the world. I imagine the ending is so real for a lot of people though, it was for me at least.

I was on the phone to my mum tonight and spoke to her for a while about it. After the funeral i've been almost numb to it, haven't really been sad about it or that but that scene just set me off where he gets rushed out the hospital room.

Regardless of that it was a really good film too.

Watched 'The Big Sick' tonight and i thought that was about to be a carbon copy of last night Mugbie Was good though. I'd give it a sold 8/10.
I think when she starts to die during his movie and you see the mum come in and then it cuts to her funeral, I couldn't help but think about what I'd feel if that was my daughter.
Watched it this morning and that was the bit that got me, not actual crying but a lump in my throat
wasn't even the point when she died, it was afterwards seeing everybody else's reaction and when he was reading her note
Fantastic. So dark in places but also hilarious. Frances Mcdormand surely wins best actress for that performance.
