Mrs Acey was in tears when Spiderman faded away Sob Warnock

I loved it - so tense throughout. Maybe a bit of a shame that it effectly came down to “if Star-Lord hadn't pistol-whipped him everything would have been fine” Warnock but never mind. Agreed re. the ending - caught me completely off-guard. Would laugh if the sequel is just Thanos having a lovely time in the countryside and looking smug. Warnock

The bits in Edinburgh too. VanGaals Bitch

The wife gripped my hand like we were at an emotional funeral during that scene too. The Gamora death was a hard watch as she slowly realised she was the thing he loved the most. They really did an amazing job with Thanos, it would've been so easy to make him the big evil villain who wants to see the universe burn but you could kind of understand his reasoning even if you didn't agree with it. The Russo brothers are geniuses

I'd forgotten they'd filmed in Edinburgh, looked Pinilla
the bit at Waverley where Cap caught the spear, despite it being in all of the trailers that was a yes moment for me

Vision was a bit shit, I thought he was made from vibranium so how did he get torn apart so easy?

Can't wait until next year to see Thanos hanging about with the Hobbits in the shire tbh
I thought the Gamora bit when she realised was a bit Jose I mean, come on love. Even if he doesn't actually love you, you must know that he's going to chuck you over the edge while trying to squeeze out a few crocodile tears, just to see if it works Warnock

I didn't realise that they'd actually have Edinburgh be Edinburgh - I was sure I'd read somewhere that Waverley was going to stand in for somewhere else (like how Glasgow was somewhere in South Africa for World War Z, I think). Seeing them fight around the Faculty of Advocates was GodIsGod

Cap and Thor VanGaals Bitch Absolutely ridiculously handsome men.
Kajaki on bbc2 in an hour or so. For anyone who didn't catch it when it was on Netflix a few years back I can't recommend it highly enough. The most gut wrenchingly tense war movie ive ever seen, and featuring some Edinburgh lads too.

Should be on the iplayer if you don't catch it.

Brilliant film that. Will catch it over the next few days.

Watched Borg v McEnroe last night. Very average film but wasn't fully aware of the story so it was an interesting watch.

Was based on Mark Wright and his squad. I knew him threw a mate. Lovely guy. Total hero.

Kajaki is excellent, one of those films where you immediately go to read up on the real people who inspired the screenplay.

I went to see A Quiet Place on Saturday. Absolutely superb in terms of originality and tension. Some very good performances as well. Would recommend.

^ Great film.

It's a wonder how Mel Gibson managed to direct that so brilliantly...
