My boss is from Aberdeen and her mum brought down some 'rowies' or 'butteries'.

They're basically croissants but flat and with more salt in them. Covered in butter and jam Piggy

They're all the left over dough from rolls battered together with heaps of butter. Probably the unhealthiest morning bakery item you can get. They are good though Piggy
