Talking of moving there was a poshy young student couple moving their stuff down by West port the day. They must’ve chucked their sofa down on the street for 2 mins and 2 Jake balls had commandeered it and the pair of them didn’t know what to do at all
![]() One of them smacked out their face passed out on it and the other being stubborn as fuck refusing to move while the guy pleaded for them to get off

Like that's all he's going to eat.
Full loaf of white bread will be coming out with the lurkpak, followed by another 4 bowls.

Just got a wee text to say I can have tomorrow off, Glorious.
4 day weekend, with nae Hearts. This is going to be epic.
@Curraheel ... What are the best boozers in Galashiels these days. Sat sesh so a bit of variety wouldnt go amiss, and we tend to lean towards traditional.
Any up on the hill? I drive that upper high street a fair bit but can't recall if there's any?

Reivers isnt quite as Timothy as once was. Think the Tims might have another place to frequent.
Salmon is a nice pub and does good food. The Auld Mill next door is more a traditional pub. It starts attracting bampots later on at night. The Ladhope is a good pub up the A7 heading towards Edinburgh. They're the ones in the town centre. There's a few outliers. Nikis bar up Balmoral is about a 15 minute walk and you've got the Woodcutter in Langlee. Quite a few pubs have closed in recent years sadly. Hope this helps Pondy.

Always wanted to stop in at the Ladhope, guess it's probably one of those that requires the right timing to get the best feel for the place.

Only a 5 minute walk up from the train station. Btw the reason the Tims have been thrown out the Reivers is because they were turning up for Celtic games being shown in there with carry outs. The fucking nerve man. Borders Hearts have started to take over so its good to pop in.

Got a good Jambo mate coming over from Hawick, he's lived down there for a long time now (incognito) but I'm sure his missus will be happy to drop him right at the door. Would now be remiss to not stop in and toast the the generations of Reivers who raided the fine Border lands. |
