I think I'd rather have Arteta out of those two.

Emery will be the 6th best manager in the league and probably not have a great budget. You know they will be 4th at very best. At least with Arteta there is always that chance he can be an unreal coach. Seems to be very highly regarded.

Really can't wait for Emery to guide arsenal to success with Jack the Lionheart Wilshere and really rub APs face in it.

Big period of change incoming at Arsenal and imo needed to be an experienced manager taking over, I'm sure Emery will have plenty of money to spend as the issue with Arsenal before seemed to not be funding but willingness to spend. Appointing Mikel Cathro over someone who has won things in a few countries and has a bit experience could be a complete disaster for them.

Emery will probably end up being shite too though leading to a future where Arsene Wenger makes his triumphant return to the club as an eternal AI program running in the Emirates mainframe.

Emery is a dece appointment. Depends what the expectations are though, top 4 at best and cup runs. Will be nowhere near winning the league. If they can fare better and get some wins against United, Citeh, Red Scouse, Chelski and Spurs then thats an improvement. Too soft and too easy too play against under Wenger

Don't think it's that bad an appointment, young enough that he can build something. No chance of any quick success but if given the backing they could do something in 3-4 years - doubt he will get that long before they're on his back though.

PSG fans I know are scathing about the kind of football his PSG side played. Will be interesting to see how he's received at the problem with Arsenal is they try to walk it into the net.

What was Emery thinking bringing Iwobi on that early

Great gig for him. Surely they must skoosh that league and he'll have a head of steam in 12 months to have a crack at the top flight.

They're debt free with new owners, so it could be an intriguing prospect. I never realised he was out of the race for Ipswich manager.

He rejected Ipswich apparently. It will depend what the new Sunderland owners are like. Might be a good move.

Didn't realise Sunderland had new owners, my apologies.
