AP needs some time away from the internet.

If they want female representation they should get Alyson Rudd on to discuss things. She does the Sunday supplement on sky sports and often embarrasses her counterparts with her knowledge and insight.

Women football pundits is up there with black James Bond for me. Societal driven decisions based on some misplaced idea of â€œprogressionâ€. I agree with Leon.

The issue here is basically how unclear we are on what the qualifications are for a good pundit Warnock

Experience of playing football at a high level and experiencing all of the associated pressure (including large fanbase and media coverage) crucial? Female pundits are clearly inadequate and seem tokenistic.

Good knowledge of football key, with male journalists acceptable? Then female pundits might be fine too, and arguing otherwise looks sexist.

I think both stances are basically legitimate and that disagreeing with female pundits isn't necessarily sexist. Leon Knight seems like a dick, though, and probably is sexist.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with female pundits in tennis or athletics, in fact they are some of the best.

They can relate to the high level they are actually talking about which is the difference.

Though you never see a female pundit that would be considered a pig in knickers presenting
