Aye, I read they needed £2.5 million or something? That is absolutely nothing to the top 2 leagues. I suspect it would be a lot more to make them sustainable though. Look at what we had to do.

Would still be peanuts in the grand scheme of things down there. Like you say, they wont be the last. TV wont be happy until it's just a Hyper Dollar European Mega League with all the big guns playing every week. At a time that suits the Asian market of course.

Didn't realise Bolton were in such a mess, reads like they will be shut down now. Always thought they were a fairly big club.

Genuinely feel the premier League clubs have a duty to support these lower league teams. They spunk enough to save a full club on one player in one month. Football is community driven and the only reason the top teams are in a position to make as much as they do is because of the decades of grass roots football across the country.

Seems man United want to help Bury which is the right thing to do imo.

The thing with Bolton is this stems from when they were in the PL signing ridiculous players like Campo and Hierro. I have less sympathy for them but still shit for the fans, we've been there and done it.

Part of why there's a reluctance is the rules on ownership/feeder teams etc and that helping out with money when you don't know where its going. I wouldn't want to be giving handouts if its just going to fill the pockets of some arsehole owner.
