Seen some Celtic today giving it the “scum†and all that. How many times have they been fined from UEFA

Looks like Bury are fucked. Shame that but that will become more regular in the English leagues.

Aye, I read they needed £2.5 million or something? That is absolutely nothing to the top 2 leagues. I suspect it would be a lot more to make them sustainable though. Look at what we had to do.

Would still be peanuts in the grand scheme of things down there. Like you say, they wont be the last. TV wont be happy until it's just a Hyper Dollar European Mega League with all the big guns playing every week. At a time that suits the Asian market of course.

Toil to have any kind of sympathy for them. Paid the wages, ultimately paid the price. Fuck them
Same for Bolton and the rest

Think they've been sold down the river by the boy that bought them in December, seem to have got a takeover agreed at the last minute so hopefully they get saved.
https://twitter.com/derekclarksport/stat...38304?s=21 This is what you're dealing with : think the EFL have questions to answer over this.

Saw this quote in an ad for the Athletic.

Their fit and proper person test is a joke! I saw someone explaining that this Dale chancer passed is as he 1) didn't have a criminal record & 2) didn't have shares in another football club. ![]() You'd think that they'd have learned their lesson after the Oyston saga at Blackpool, but no.

Didn't realise Bolton were in such a mess, reads like they will be shut down now. Always thought they were a fairly big club.

They spunk enough to save a full club on one player in one month. Football is community driven and the only reason the top teams are in a position to make as much as they do is because of the decades of grass roots football across the country. Seems man United want to help Bury which is the right thing to do imo.

The thing with Bolton is this stems from when they were in the PL signing ridiculous players like Campo and Hierro. I have less sympathy for them but still shit for the fans, we've been there and done it.

Part of why there's a reluctance is the rules on ownership/feeder teams etc and that helping out with money when you don't know where its going. I wouldn't want to be giving handouts if its just going to fill the pockets of some arsehole owner.

Speaking of clubs in a mess, I see the Dumpster is rumoured to be leaving the wee team!

must have been left in some state. Pretty shocking that there are 2 clubs about to go out of business, an absolutely damning indictment on the finances down there.
