...which isn't the same thing as being a terrorist. Sounds more like no-one taking the threat seriously because he was only a threat to other asylum seekers.

I wasn't saying he was a terrorist, just that it's the common theme of these people that do these things giving prior warning and known to polis etc. They need caged or away to fuck in one way or another.

The incident made the news over here. They were pretty measured in how they reported it and didn't overplay the brown skin = Terrorist angle. They were interviewing Aussie backpackers who witnessed the aftermath. They were obviously shiteing themselves but said they didn't feel any less safe in Scotland.

The report was complimentary to the quick police resonse and they made a point that it was the first person that Scottish police have shot dead in 50 years.

That's pretty mind blowing for Australians. Folk get wasted by cops here regularly.

Sounded like the boy had mental problems. Suppose a lot of these folk will have come from war zones or people trafficking and stuff like that. If he was known to the authorities, he should obviously not have been living in a crowded hotel.
