Can this be included under the definition of 'football'? Rugby league fans would say yes. And I'm including it because I do believe it to be the GREATEST PIECE OF SPORTING COMMENTARY IN HISTORY:

Possibly the best game of football I've ever seen. Love the Italian commentary as well.

I don't remember much about this game, other than the fact Gazza was immense and I was gutted (much worse than the 5-1)

Really adds to the sense of how momentous the climax to that match - by far the best international since 2000, and the best World Cup game since 1986 - truly was. First three games I ever saw on tv were Everton v Rapid Vienna, Liverpool v Juventus and Scotland v Wales.
It's lucky that I took Adrian Heath as the positive from that trio.

Tell you what, for all some people might hate him, what a fucking player Graham Souness was.
Easily one of the best midfielders in the world in his prime. Hard to think of a better captain when he was winning everything with Liverpool. Dem passes ![]() Dose tackles ![]() Dat shooting ![]()
"You made me cry, so give yourselves a wee pat on the back. Mission well and truly accomplished."
