Thought he looked like he had something when he had his brief appearances, he's a bit less of a generic skinny wee laddie than the rest of the young players that get a sniff, had a wee bit about him I thought.

These guys have really missed having a reserve league I think. You can't just have them dossing about in training then throw them in for the odd game and expect them to kick on unless they're way above this level like Hickey was. It absolutely killed the careers of guys like Harry Cochrane and Tony McDonald.

Don't think he is getting offered a contract extension so will be away at the end of the season.

Did that bother you? I remember he wanted to leave for Celtic earlier but Vlad said no and he got his head down and continued to be a hero for us. Knew he would eventually go and wished him relatively well when he got his move. Celtic boy as a bairn too, so fair enough. We got his best years.

Skacel to Southampton was annoying during that time period.
