Why's he doing it the week the season starts anyway

He was so good for us for a while. Pity he's a wank

Only thing Your Daniel got right was getting him right out the door. Let himself down badly that season and in the media after.

Cunt played a part in costing us two cup finals

Fuck him!
None of this welcome back anytime pish, an utter liability and has bad mouthed the club since Stendel found him out.

Are we really this bitter?
He's given us enough years of good service, shame how it ended

Nobody left to sit so Berra, foolishly, tried to do two jobs and left a gaping hole. His hearts career is curious. Wasn't a great player in his first spell, but certainly was effective. Was made captain in order to maximise his value for sale, which worked. Came back and was immense, got injured and was abject/ridiculous/comical afterwards. Can't see him becoming a gaffer. Carries that Cathro energy, despite having had a very successful career.

He was outstanding when he first came back but never got over the injury.
Handing him a new deal was up there with one of the strangest decisions of the Budge era. He was so obviously in terminal career decline and he got two more years to stink the place out. Those cup final performances really tainted his legacy.

Well done Levein, souring his legacy by making him own of “Leveins menâ€. File alongside Naismith, Daly, Macphee, Souttar and all his other wee clique members that he recruited to entrench his DoF position.
Berra was the ultimate professional until Levein brought him into his web.

Poisonous player to have post-injury. The video the club released when Stendel met the dressing room summed the club up at the time - everybody sat down, barely making eye contact until Smith took the initiative. Berra couldn't have looked less interested if he tried. Stendel made the right call to get rid, and Neilson made a major mistake bringing him back into the fold. Fair enough if he could still go on the pitch, but by then he wasn't any better than fucking Popescu.
Pre-injury, he was a great player and captain. Just a shame how it ended, but a lot of that is down to his attitude.

Best defender in Scotland in that pre-injury spell. Was never the same afterwards, sadly. His somewhat snakey behaviour leaves a sour taste, but never mind.
Really good career, tbf. Apparently he's keen to get into coaching - not sure about that tbh.

I always really like Berra, but his post injury time here really spoiled him in my mind. He was a colossus when he came back at teh start. Post injury he was finnish and should've hung up the boots, Leveins decision to give him such a long deal was baffling, still is. Should've hung it up, instead hung on like a wee tolley and soiled himself and his legacy. His ego was writing cheques his ass couldnt cash
