Ordered a top with name and a number on the back a few weeks ago on the website % went in and collected it no bother. 2 minutes in the shop, max.

They did a grand job (I think )

Trolled to death, my own fault for assuming the manager would sort it properly, I didn't think I'd need them to show me the numbers before printing

That replacement is terrible. Fwiw I don't think the size of the top one looks bad but if it's squint and got bubbles needs replaced they're no exactly cheap.

I'm hindsight I agree, but the cropped photo doesn't show how big it was in proportion to the top and the E and Y were squint as well. Shite customer service, they really should've showed me before re-printing.

If they raised the lettering up another 15mm the number wouldn't be hanging off the top

The bairn wont bother but it's more the level and quality of customer service, I'll check her previous strips but I'm pretty sure they had 3 sizes of numbering, her previous 2 kits look perfect

Hard to believe Floyd but the large number was more disproportionate, In hindsight if they had lifted the lettering tight below the heart and raised the large number it'd have been fine.

I just assumed in this day and age there would be an adjustable template that sat the numbers and letters in proportion to the top. Seems they just line them up and hope for the best

Aye they needed to lift the lettering 10/15mm and the number 25mm and it would've looked great. I've came away with the small number, Marley won't mind and tbh I just wanted out the shop by that point.

My mate works for Cheltic and does the printing for all the player kits and the likes, I'll see what the deal is with that, as it surely can't be a case of just lining up and hoping?

Saw it with my own eyes, I don't know what was going on but  the person served after me got there strips first so maybe they forgot my top then rushed my initial effort, no excuse though!
It would make sense to allocate the job to a member of staff, seems like everyone was having a go, when I went in for the last time today I saw someone rush over with a receipt and say “1 L not 2 L's” as they went to print so it's not just my top that was fucked. Madness as they give you the sheet to write your own lettering so any mistake is on you… fuck knows.

My mate has said before that there are only three of them “trained” to do it for Cheltic. Not sure what the training is, but he was quite clear it's not just a free for all.
