I think there are a lot of good sides this year.

Hearts - improved
Motherwell - improved
Falkirk - improved
Hibs - decent
Dundee - suprisingly good at times
St mirren - won a cup and good
Kilmarnock - McCann has them doing things now
Dundee United - plodding along

I’d say livi and aberdeen are the only teams doing a lot of poorer than you’d expect.

Lots of good football this season and very competitive. Loads of teams pulling Celtic and rangers pants down, not just sneaking results. I’ve seen motherwell, Falkirk and st mirren spank the OF. Ourselves too. They both struggle against Hibs and Dundee often too.

I dunno, I think the league is class with most teams trying to play football. (Apart from us amirite lol). The best in years for me outside the OF.

The Top 6 is going to be so fun. The 6th place team is not just getting pumped and trying to sneak a result before the end of the season, but can actually dominate games V 1st-5th if the teams above them aren't at it.

Yup! It’s the weirdest feeling. I don’t remember feeling like this back in 98 or in ‘06.

Just constantly feel on edge. Laugh

I remember going into the the Aberdeen game midweek feeling utter dread. But most of the rest of that season was a laugh or mental.

The only thing keeping me from going tonto is that the team and Del seem very workmanlike about it.

I think the manner of most of the wins is contributing to the anxiety Heh

Down to ten men far too often, late winners, injuries, etc. The only comfortable victory since the turn of the year has been at Tannadice. Once the Rangers game is out of the way, I'm hoping for more routine wins.

I was randomly watching a mcinnes interview the other night and just started getting that sick feeling.

Ngl I hate it and if there is any sort of chat that an Easter road last tie could be the decider I think I’d just be going off grid and checking to see if we done it after the fact Heh

The lead up to the 5-1 final and pre 3-1 was the most minging feeling I’ve ever had following hearts. Fucking hated every minute of it.

I couldn't properly get gee'd up for the Hibs game because of this feeling of dread. The game went exactly how I expected it to go, but glad we got the 90th min winner.

You're right, the good thing about this team is they show up every single game, even if they don't always put their best foot forward. There's always a player with a 'moment' in him to get us over the line.

There's not much swagger about us, it's just 12 more games of the players giving blood, sweat and tears and hope we win approx 9 of them.

Very doable, but these 1-0s can always go the other way.

Shankland come back Sob

Aye, the anxiety mostly comes down to the fact that we're struggling to score goals at the moment.
We're not a title winning side to look at, so it's always at the back of our minds that we're going to slip up.

It's not so much anxiety for me, it's more just pissed off that we've not signed a decent striker.
Hopefully Mato is that man.

Tha anxiety is that we're punching well above our weight, have been all season, and every game feels like it could be the one where it all comes crashing down.

It’s the constant thinking about the next game and every single outcome as well.

Few pints and then standing in that corner chewing my nails off for me tomorrow

It's crazy how folk/pundits have been constantly been talking about if we win this game or win that game, the title is ours.
It's not even the split yet! and we're notoriously bad when that happens lol.
One thing we do have though, is Deek, he's not perfect, but he's going to have us fighting until the very end.

Imagine winning it with games to spare and Hibs having to give us a guard of honour at Easter Road.

That would never be topped.

Best chance to do it.
Even if we don't win the league, we'll most likely be in Europe next season, and that comes with more games and more injuries.
We'll still be buying players with potential rather than plug n play, while Celtic and Rangers will have the money to do the same and get in a few have been there done it.

It's fucking class, tbh. Proper meaning to it every time you go to the game. For the past 10 years, I've sat at most home games thinking, get this over with so I can go to the pub Warnock

I still wouldn't go, to be fair, the football is horrendous.
The last game I went to was Dundee United at home, I got a free ticket when i bought a top.
Weirdo sat next to me spent most of the game trying to look at what I was doing on my phone.
Must have been someone off here.

Genuine question Tel, if a title race deep into the season isn’t enough for you to consider picking up a game why do you bother with hearts Laugh

Hearts doing well doesn’t seem to do anything for you it’s a hard thing to understand for someone who chats about hertz aw day.

You speak fondly about the 05 team, fair they won a trophy but they never managed to go this deep into challenging for the title. Surely that is something to be positive about.

After every game I’m already wishing my life away waiting for the next one, only regret is my dad never got to see this. After the cup wins in 1998 and 2006 he lost interest in going to games too much as he’d spent most of his life wanting to win a cup and he’d seen us do it twice, he never believed winning the league was possible so that was as good as it got.

Wife’s going back to Thailand for a couple weeks in March, looked at flight times and her flights at 2.50pm and first thing I did was look to see who we’re playing that day to see if I’d miss anything after dropping her off!
