He's done both before so doubt it matters

Phoodle should offer him a 4-year extension.

Him and his timmy dad can get to fuck if this is true.

who gives a fuck just make sure we get the most money we can. certainly won't be bothered my arse if he was lining up for them against us.

Did Bayern actually make an offer because the thought of turning down to join one of the world's top clubs to cross the M8 is mind-boggling.

It's the transfer saga that nobody wanted or needed.

He's inevitably going to end up at Celtic eventually but we could at least show a bit of backbone and refuse to sell him there directly.

We'll probably make more money selling him to Celtic. If that's what his dad wants to do with his career then fair enough

Punt him to celtic, he's a decent wee player, certainly not afraid of lining up against him.

If it's for more money then so be it.
Knowing our bartering skills it will be for less

I guess it's easy to say, as guys who are all late twenties or above, that we'd jump at the opportunity to go to Bayern - moving abroad is a huge and pretty scary commitment at 18, especially when you have the chance to still be making an upward move while staying at home. Also, for all that he'll probably never make the Celtic first team, he clearly has a better chance there than at Bayern.
Disappointing from the point of view of Hearts/Scottish football fans, obviously, but putting yourself in the shoes of a wee guy who may well still live with his parents, you can see the attraction. We won't be up against him next season anyway

There's also the uncomfortable truth that going abroad hasn't really worked out for any of the international-class Scottish players who've done it in the last few years. Playing for Bayern's under 23 side after 18 months of first team football probably gives him strong Ryan Gauld vibes.

It's not like we are selling him to our rivals e.g Greenock Morton,Dundee etc..
He's going to a different league

There's a lot of reasons why he might not go but the bottom line is it would be fucking madness to turn down the best club in the world right now. He'd be set up for life. He would never struggle to find a decent club again with that on his CV. It's a 2/3 hour flight.
If his dream really is the rhats he could feasibly be playing for them when he's 21 after shree years getting the finest education possible in Germany. |
