That was the game where Butcher had not long taken over and was doing his silly wee fist pumps if the middle of the pitch at the end, lapping it up and Hibs fans were adoring him. They were convinced he was the man to take them places.

Gordon was a better keeper, but I loved Niemi so much more. Both pulled off saves they weren't entitled to, but Niemi had his own style. And he had just enough irrational goalie anger to make him endearing, Craig was always more placid.

There should be more Niemi love on here is all I'm saying.
