How good has this guy been in England?

Built the foundations of a cracking team with Southampton and has transformed Spurs from plucky under dogs to serious title challengers.

He was absolutely raging with Spurs at 2-0 today. They went on to win 4-0. That is the sign of a winner. What I admire about him is he is generally very calm and composed but you can tell that in the dressing room he is getting them fired up. A team that know exactly what they have to do.

They haven't even spent big money if you look at it. He's developed Alii into a top class player at 21 years old.

Would love for them to do it like and on this form you just never know. They are much stronger than last season. He might genuinely be the best manager in the world right now.

Alli has been frighteningly good this season, team built from mainly English players as well which is admirable, Rose and Walker probably the two best full backs in the league as a pair, Alderwiereld and Vertonghen arguably the best CH partnership in the league, he has certainly done an incredible job there, the mystery is why they've been so poor in Europe though, possibly a reflection on the standard of the EPL these days.

Yeah his stock's high right enough. Probably had to build spurs with (relatively) lesser-known lower-priced players cos spurs usual record means the top guns wouldn't go there since Champions League isn't a given. Traditionally spend loads tho, so him doing it without their normal constant expensive churn is v good for the club.

If they finish in the top few again it'll be interesting to see if many players + manger get attracted away.
Their top guy, Levy, is an unpopular gent and makes it hard to negotiate with them for transfers tho.

Mind Lawrie McMenemy saying it was no surprise the Italian owners had appointed a coach with an Italian sounding name after sacking Atkins Clanger

He spent £70.3m this summer on; Sissoko, Janssen, Wanyama and N'koudou. They brought in as a club £44.46m through a number of transfers but mostly Mason and Chadli.

If they decided to sell Sissoko and Janssen you would think they would easily get £25m back. When you then consider they are left with Wanyama then I would say he has a successful record overal in the market this season.

They need to replace Eriksen with someone top notch imo; that's the main difference I feel. He's fine for the cannon fodder teams but can't handle a big one. Probably something to do with his ridic coiffured barnet. Monty Oh Well

Funny how someone like Eriksen who produces most weeks doesn't get talked up much yet folk wank over the likes of Ozil andd Silva who do fuck all most weeks.

Eriksen's class but you can't be talking down David Silva. He's been an incredible player in the premier league consistently since he arrived.

He's made some poor signings this summer, but he isn't someone stubborn enough to stick with an off-form player because they're the record signing. If his only success of the summer (Wanyama) can help them improve on where they finished last season, then it can be seen as good summer business.

Did they only get Wanyama this season?

End of the day, that team was very close to the title last season and they've lost none of their main players. Always going to get better as well. Assuming they keep a hold of everyone again, they'll win the title in the next 2/3 seasons.
