Sounds like the shit has hit the fan and they are in danger of heading into admin.

This is only a bad season away for virtually every club in the top 2 English leagues outside of the top 5/6. All consumed with chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow Monty Oh Well

It's what happens when you have a Randy Lerner in charge. Titter

In all seriousness, you're right about clubs being on the brink down there, Leeds and Sunderland are two examples of clubs spending beyond their means chasing the impossible dream.

Don't think admin's gonna happen. They'll pay the bill within a few days. It's the cuts that are coming there that will really bite, though - and those have to happen if admin isn't going to become a reality further down the line.

Villa's parachute payments fall dramatically this season: from 45% of what they earned in their last season in the Prem to 20%. That's what's forcing the issue there. They don't have disinterested or malevolent owners; they're just skint, so they have to sell, big time.

The further problem - and why Xia may have to sell - could involve moving funds from China to the UK.

Still got cunts like Agbonlahor and Micah Richards scooping up Premier League wages Laugh

Look at some of the signing Steve Bruce made in the desperate attempt to get up, Glenn Whelan, Mile Jedinak, Lewis Grabban, 9 million or suhin on Scott Hogan. At least 10 or maybe 12 on Kodija who'd had 1 good season with Bristol

Fuck them tbh. Hope they suffer and plummet down the leagues

Na. I'd like to see some of the big clubs coming back up tbh. The premier league should have Villa, Leeds and a Sheffield club in it instead of dross like Bournemouth and Huddersfield.

Agreement reached with HMRC.

They've also said they're not working with any insolvency experts.
