Not getting carried away yet. But 2 away games plus the scum at home. And we're 9/9. Plus banged the goals in properly in the League Cup fixtures.

And most signings seem decent. Uche. MacLean. Lee. Dunne. Bobby. Garrucio. Haring. With Mitchell incoming. Vanecek too.

Great team spirit. New boys raving about the club history and u can see on social they love it here.

I'm breaking into a near smile.

Have we secretly binned Murray or invested in the Deluxe edition of TransferMrkt?

I'm critical when its deserved. Got to give the praise too. Early days. But well done Speccy. You just MIGHT win me over yet.

Let's no forget. A dominant Celtic team won the league by only 9 points. Rangers will take points from them this year. Fuck 3rd. They're shite this year. League push Speccy and a few demolition derbies on the way. Fuckin neighbours are noisy these days.

Your turn Budge. But it might need the corners filled in and 4 jumbo tv screens before I think she's got her shit together....come on Granny. It's our year. Feels like we've turned a corner?

We've managed to wipe away the last of the Cathro disaster and it looks like most of us were wrong with Levein  Vlad Shrug

He's bought superbly and with a clear idea of the way he wants us to play. Don't think that has been done since the Championship season.

He still signs the odd dud but most of the players we have brought in look great for this level. Amazing considering where some of them have been picked up from Trump Maybe

Makes a big difference when your signings all hit the ground running.

Credit has to go to CL for a very solid pre-season.

As long as Budge keeps her ego in check and stays out of team affairs, then we really could do something special.

It's not like it has even been an easy start to the season. Last season we would have been delighted with 4 points from that start.

One game at a time lads, but we should be putting away Celtic C next weekend with some energy to spare. They look absolutely honking.

Mind when no one, especially not Craig Levein, wanted him to become manager, and he spent half the season in a huff about it? Heh

These players are excellent professionals with their own personalities and attributes.

I had Lee down as our only successful signing. I'm flabbergasted by the reliability of boys like Garuccio who we no doubt bought for buttons. Especially after all our troubles with left backs.

If we sign Mitchell and Vanecek. Fukin ell. Dismay

Shades of 2002/03

Coming off the back of a pretty dismal season, a few largely unknown signings, a great result early on to build some momentum ... Pretty good

Hopefully actually win something this year, even the League Cup would be tremendous.

I, like everyone else, was as sceptical as you could get... until we beat Hibs at the end of last season. Something just clicked that night: everyone together. I was so encouraged that I felt a massive corner had been turned, and fancied us for 3rd this season as a result.

A superb summer of recruitment later, and we're transformed. Well, not so much transformed, as just continuing on from that night. We fucked Hibs completely; they won't have another chance of coming 2nd any time soon. They choked, while we stood tall. So much that's followed started that evening.

Levein had already turned Tynecastle into a fortress, more or less; and sorted us out defensively. The recruitment's done the rest. Against Celtic, we lost our most important, talismanic player to a terrible injury - yet look what happened. Subs and new players just slot in seamlessly. That's the sign of a very well drilled unit which knows exactly how it's going to play.

I hope to goodness Craig's back on his feet soon... and that in his absence, MacPhee can keep this going. No reason why he can't. We've looked redoubtable thus far.

Going to answer my own question.

Just read MacPhee's interview where he talks about Hearts scouting more players so they were ready for things like the Berra injury.

How'd they manage this? In his own words, Hearts used to rely on John Murray alone a year ago. Since then they've hired 4 scouts who have readied reviews on players, like Jimmy Dunne.

Long winded way of saying we've demoted Murray and look at our recruitment improvements already. Pity it took years of backing Murray before this.

Well done Levein on the new scouts and get well soon.

They are doing stuff many have been screaming for for ages ie getting John Murray to fuck.

Long may it continue.

That's such a basic thing as well Warnock

Have a scouting network and don't rely on the witterings of an old washed up drunk. And this is year five of the plan Laugh
