Oscar’s been missing since Thursday

Kids are in bits, I’m in bits but the worst is Alice. She’s spent the past few days on a loop walking round the house shouting for him. Was a shaky start when we first got her but since then she’s been obsessed with him, whenever he walks into a room she’ll stop what she’s doing and just stare or follow him around. Fucking heartbreaking

He'll be fine no doubt, Benoit. My best mate, who lives in Nitten, took their cat to the vets down in Dalkeith, where he escaped. Turned up two weeks later, at the back door. Now you work that out, utterly amazing really, to find your way back, somehow. Do they read the stars?!

Absolutely astonishing. He'll just be out on a wee ran dan.

Could be in a neighbours house? Some people feed cats out of being nice and end up basically kidnapping them.

Or in someone's shed or garage?

I remember way back in the day when one of our neighbours cats went missing for weeks or possibly more and ended up turning back up again randomly.

Aye I think there’s someone round here feeding him. Been 2/3 times where he’s disappeared for over 24hrs but never as long as this, find out who it is I’ll fucking knock them out. He’s a big healthy looking thing and no chance you’d mistake him for a stray. My neighbour at the old house had a wee cat who’d disappear for months on end, he hates collars but he’ll be getting one with an AirTag after this time

Just had to go see a wee dead cat. Someone tagged me in a post about a tabby getting hit by a car on my old street. Never lived there when we had Oscar but it’s not even a  5 minute walk from where we are now so nipped round to check. Not him but the poor wee thing was in a mess

Nothing since early last week. Had her pal phone on Saturday just before kick off to say she’d found him and had him in her car round the corner, bolted out the house and then had to let her know she’d almost stole someone else’s cat
