Actually quite livid that the original plan on Thursday was to sacrifice 260,000 people and the population just went along with it like it was fine. Why are folk not able to think for themselves and do the tiniest bit of research or outside thinking. You don't need to be an amateur virologist to figure out 1% of 80% of 60 million.

The strong guidance not to use masks is often so that hospitals don't run out of supplies for medical practioners. Also masks are great if you are a carrier of infection. It blocks a lot of your cough and sneezes - 4 out of 5 people will get the virus and many will not show any symptoms/very mild.


Generally, good fitting masks would be a great idea, imo during containment phase.

Behaviourally though it may mean that people will go outdoors more and take more risks so that is the other danger. The fallacy that they are completely safe thanks to the mask.

Why are people being told to not get tested btw? Maybe missed it so apologies.

The wife's uncle has the cough and temperature as does another family member. Were told to not get tested and just assume they have it.

Probs because we went in on a method that we thought was going to work that relied on everyone getting it, realised the huge backlash when people started switching in to how many we just wrote off to die as if it didn't matter and now we're stuck in the middle where we don't want to admit we were wrong but can't just suddenly start using the methods that we should've adopted from the beginning that pretty much every other country did.
