There is no defending this, not a single person associated with the club should have any excuses thrown their way after losing to St Mirren away in a must win game without even mustering more than a shot for 95 minutes. Absolutely disgusting.

Levein and Budge have dug such a deep hole that Stendel needs more than one window to change all the deadbeats that Levein has signed to nonsense deals.
Nah, he has enough players there to hear St Mirren and Hamilton. Not having it. All he had to do is win a handful of games to keep us up and he couldn't. He's had plenty time with the players to instil his tactics, he's recruited his own men. Still can't buy a win against the teams around us.
He might still keep us up but just not convinced at all he knows what he's doing.
It's not good enough at all like I just think he is still the best we could have got out of that shortlist of managers. If the situation was so bad that Stendel couldn't get it right then I think we were fucked a long time ago by leaving it way too late to act.
I would want him to stay on if we went down though as think he just needs more time to make the team his own. Every other manager would be given at least a pre season before being written off I think he deserves that considering the circumstances he's taken over.

Nah someone else could have won a few games. Agree I would want him to stay if we go down but not having that no other manager could keep us up.

It's not up to us to be right though.
The board appointed this guy off the back of fans forums. He had never heard of Hearts, had no knowledge of Scottish football and was on something daft like a 13 game losing streak. If we had people with a clue on the board they would have told Budge to make a steady appointment due to the situation rather than this massive risk.
