Been sat all night on youtube looking at some of the odd shit that used to be on the telly.

Time Commanders. A bunch of Nigels reenact battles using what looks like the game Rome: Total War and usually fail miserably  Warnock

X-Fire. A different kind of Nigel's act like they're in the SAS, trying and usually failing miserably to beat a bunch of ex-squaddies at paintball.

Fash FC. John Fashanu managing a Sunday league team Monty Ha

It obviously looks dated now but Rome: Total War was revolutionary at the time. The jump from 2D sprites to 3D models Wow

There was another series that used the RTW engine called Decisive Battles, not a bad wee series. I think all of the episodes are on Youtube.

Should be the first result that comes up. Sound

The presenter can't pronounce a lot of the names and places Heh but they get a few historians on and use the RTW soundtrack in the background Tony Hmm

Big fan of Time Commanders as well, as any good Rome TW fanboy would be.

The Battle of Watling Street one where they abandon the high ground and spread their forces into wee pockets, then go into testudo Warnock

Fash FC was tremendous like.

All of them are on youtube. It was meant to be a bunch of the best Sunday League players in London or something and they were going to win this amateur league and go on winning everything. They finished about 15th and then had a penalty shootout to decide the player of the season. The goalie won it Zlat

Big Fash used to forgo training for taking them zip-lining and that and basically going one short of reenacting the Battle of the Somme.
