Problem against Celtic is you go off the pace even a bit they just punish you. Over the piece I don't even think we've played that bad in comparison to other games. Stronger back 4 and we might have had a better chance today.

Fuck it, it's time to be resting our important players for a fortnight's time.

Hearts go build a quality team that is leagues ahead of the rest and still look just as hopeless in these games as ever.  Fair enough we've got nout to play for but it's not as if we've turned up no trying to win the game.

Glad we've got rangers instead of Celtic in the final anyway but going to be a very solid game.

Must be because I only watch the Hearts games but it seems we're exclusively quite poor in Glasgow though. Everyone else can go through and shut up shop and take 1-0/2-1 defeat but almost everytime we go through we get hammered. How many other teams have an aggregate score of 9-1 for their last visits to Ibrox and Celtic Park?

Forget about whether Celtic players are more skillful than ours, they have 11 players that run about daft and we get steamrolled. Our first task is to replace boys like Boyce and that with players that can also run all day. Otherwise we are just playing with what feels like a man down.

Is that not what the opposite of hearts fans want though, at least on here it seems? If hearts went the day and sat 11 behind the ball for 90 mins and got beat 1-0 folk would be seething we didn't go and have a go and just sat off. But if you go and try and play football/take the game to them you're leaving yourself exposed to a 3/4+ defeat.

Our record in Glasgow is bad but no one in the league is going to have a particularly good record through there regardless of whether they're heavy defeats or no.

My criticism today would be that we all know Celtic start with a huge intensity first half and fall away in the second, would we no have been better just sitting in first half and trying to soak up all the pressure to then give ourselves a better chance against a tired Celtic team in the second? It's good to get an early goal but all it did was put the fire in their bellies and everyone kens its basically game over once they go 2-1 up. That sounds like I'm criticising us for going 1-0 up which isn't the case, but I would've liked to us see us have a bit more about us in the second half where we know Celtic have struggled through the season as that's where they're most vulnerable.

Ultimately probably wouldn't have made a difference as they played well today and there's not much you can do when that's the case.

Kick-off was 7 am my time so I didn't bother, seems I made the right choice.  Crowe

I take it nobody got injured? At this stage, that's all that really matters.

I didn't think we were too bad tbh. Celtic were always going to be strong favourites for a variety of reasons. Bottom line is that they have better players pretty much all over the pitch. May Bee

I don't think anyone is expecting us to go there and win, or even to go there and compete and make the game itself particularly close, but you always get that sinking feeling when Hearts lose a goal in Glasgow. I jokingly said it'll end up 5-1 after they equalised and it was 4-1.

I'd like it if we could go down 1-0/2-1 and then shut the whole thing down and get out of there with that result but we often just crumble. Obviously they've won easily with big scores for most of their home games but Dundee lost 3-2 there and St Mirren lost 2-0. Would take that over 5-0 and 4-1 any day.

TLDR - we should aspire to only get beat by one or two goals away to the OF.

We've lost 1-0 (relatively unluckily) and 3-2 there this season.

We gave them a game in the last half hour at Parkhead earlier in the season, being fairly unlucky not to get a point, and got a draw at Ibrox. Most teams are going to get a multi-goal tanking in Glasgow. If you're lucky, they'll stop at 2-0 or something, but the last two times we've gone to Glasgow, they've really picked us off in the last half hour.

Completely normal game we have up here when the referee is having a laugh about a dodgy goal.

I just can't be fucked with old firm fans at all, every time I read their stupid cunt views on Scottish football I just want to pack it all in.

Just a deluded bunch of fuckwits, no one is saying it wasn't a goal but the linesman shouldn't be making wideo comments at a player whether he supports Celtic or no.

Imagine a linesman getting wide to hart in the tunnel if they were playing rangers at ibrox, they'd be demanding resignations.

Celtic das on Twitter should be classed as a greater human crisis than climate change.
