Where are we strengthening in January to march towards the title?
![]() I was actually having a think about this and I’m not really sure where we need players. We’re short at right back with injuries which is the obvious one but other than that I think we’re strong right across the 11 and on the bench. We’ve already got Islam coming in, Ageu coming back in from injury is essentially a new signing since he’s had about 20 mins - I honestly don’t know where in the team I think we’ve got issues I wouldn’t mind seeing another midfielder in the mould of Ageu as we’re quite heavy on DMs in that area and don’t have a like for like replacement when he’s oot. Obv if JA starts identifying better plers then happy days but I’m not sure Del will be too concerned about the state of the squad. Hopefully Celtic continue to drap points with Europe hanging around their neck as post January I imagine they’ll strengthen and will have full focus on the league.

Left back. Kingsley is getting on, and isn't the player he was. Milne isn't young either and, as good as he's been, can be improved on.

Might look back and cringe at this end of season but so far in the league there’s not a better left back than Milne.
No player cant be improved on but he has been ridic for me, I loved penners but Milne is a big step up. Saying that penners might’ve looked even better in this set up but he was pretty shocking defensively at times which you don’t get with Milne.

Del-icious dateline='[url=tel:1760880598' Wrote: 1760880598[/url]'] Milne hasn’t even played left back in the last month bro ![]() Was ropey against Hibs last week out of position. It isn’t working and I’d like to see him back in his position and get a proper player on the right flank.

JTA doesn’t have the emotion of fans. Every position can be improved upon and if there’s a gem unearthed, we’ll sign them.
Loads of players out of contract end of the season and some of our better performers might move on so we’ll be looking ahead at that.

He’s played about 4 games on the right and it’s only really hibs I’d say he had a poor one in. I don’t mind him there the now until borch comes back but looking forward to him getting back onto the left hopefully sooner rather than later.

Milne has been good RW but not to the extent that he's the best left back in the league

I’m chatting about him at LB tho where he was playing before being moved to the right to cover. Even then I thought he was excellent out there against Falkirk and rangers.
Who has had a better start to the season than him?

Centre mid.
Beni and Devlin have done well but if we’re talking about winning the league and potentially having a crack at the Champions League group stages we’re going to need someone more dynamic than Beni and technically better than Devlin. Appreciate Ageu is still to come in but an upgrade on one of those two is needed. (10-19-2025, 02:06 PM)Herman Boyce Wrote: Centre mid. I think we can worry about that down the line and if that’s what we’re chatting about we’d need an entire new 11 - we’re absolutely nowhere that level right now. You need enormous amount of investment into the squad to reach that level but tbh Europe isn’t even something I’m thinking about it’s fully whether we can keep the momentum going and challenge all the way for the league until the last games. Things could change quite quickly but there’s no many players im envious of this season right now, we are strong right across the field. It’s a good position to be in not having to chase yourself to plug gaps - budget doesn’t have to be spent in desperation.

Right back is the obvious one, think we need the next in line for left back as well, and I’d say at least 1 more central midfielder, as both devlin and beni won’t be hear next year.
