Cochrane was a good athlete, so it suits him down there. Penrice would have some brick shithouse winger smashing him into the stands the second he tried a wee drag back.

Robbo was raving about Penrice after the Petro match. Said he was the only one with bravery to take it to the opposition.
Funny how people see the game differently

Penrice is quite literally the least of our worries right now.
Player of the year as it stands.

That going forward and beating a man but he has in spades, it’s everything else that’s a proper worry

The penalty at the weekend was all on him but surely folk aren’t blaming him for the other night?

He feels a wee bit smash and hope when it comes to the end product but his corners are good tbf. Annoyingly we seem to have wing backs when we need fullbacks, and full backs when we needed wing backs

When he have a decent team and a coach who can set us up properly, he will thrive. Him and Spittal have a wee thing going on. Literally the only chemistry in the team right now. Let them cook.

If Critchley is this developer of players that he claims to be, Penrice is really the perfect player to work on.
A bit more savvy defensively and improvement of the final ball and you have a brilliant player.

He's very suspect positionally in defence which is a major problem. He can be as good as he wants going forward but if he can't defend then he's not much use unfortunately.
Unfortunately for us he's not got a reliable midfielder/centre back alongside him to cover and we don't have anyone else creating things going forward so the onus is on him to bomb forward all the time as well.

He’ll be getting told to get forward as well though.
He gets caught out because he’s always so far forward, would be quite easy for critchley to tell him to calm it - wouldn’t be that suspect positionally if he was told to not get so high. Management clearly happy with him taking the risk and doing what he’s good at or they would’ve been playing Kingsley as a priority when he was fit.

Na I do get that, I'm not talking about dropping him, he's at least putting a shift in which is more than can be said of a lot of them, but I feel he's being overrated because of how bad we are.
We probably somehow win that match on Thursday if he was in the right position to start with and wasn't needing to fling himself about on the goal line to block the shot. If/when we get back to a sniff of normality i suspect he'll be shown up a bit, but I'll be happy to be proven wrong.

He’s the one player I don’t mind watching. Leave him alone

And I'll add, I can think of countless times this season he's come across last minute and cleared or tackled the boy as he's about to pull the trigger on a free shot on goal, and we're talking about covering from the other side. I'm not actually sure what some folks see during a game.
