They should just set all the points back to zero after the split and let everyone fight it out over head to heads.
Would be well up for seeing the old firm's response to that suggestion
Quite like the Belgian format where points are halved at the split. Last season Brugge were 19 points off top going into the split and won the league mental and has a higher chance of giving other teams a shot at getting closer to the top 2 which instantly means it'll never happen here but seems fun.

Hardly worth a beamer anyway.
I don't think we need to be silly and suggest I'm walking around town with a big red face constantly thinking about the league set up ?
If it was effectively two separate leagues then the points should reset so we're not in a position like we have been about 20 times where teams in lower positions have more points than teams above them.
I just want things to be nice and simple, play each other twice, home and away, job done.

The Greek format is going to be the most suitable for what we need.
14 teams. Splits into a 6 and 8 so the top 6 have less fixtures.
I was listening to Keith Lasley on that the warm up show and he’s part of the group looking at it. Sounded gutted 10 teams isn’t a goer. Fucking madness.

I've just started watching it and he's just said that his preference would be a bigger league rather than a smaller league.

That doesn't make any sense though, as if either of them are inundated with fixtures, there's absolutely no way either teams European runs have been hampered by league fixtures, if they're worried about that then why not use their squad more when they're going away to Ross County or St Johnstone in between a European game.
The only teams that get hampered by Europe are the ones with smaller squads or a lesser budget. Us/Kllie/St Mirren/Aberdeen etc.

First time ever a thread has went slightly off track.
On a sort of related note. Was in Falkirk yesterday and there was about 3 coaches leaving from a pub for the Rangers game, not to mention the amount of Union Jacks flying in people’s gardens.
If everybody supported their local team without glory hunting towards Rangers and Celtic we could easily have a bigger league and the product would be a lot better.
I mean it’s even more of a gripe at the people who live in different towns and don’t even go to the teams games they glory hunt towards.
