With Shankland 99.6% certain to leave and Gordon’s injury concerns what’s the thoughts on captain for next season?

Wouldn’t be disappointed to see Beni getting it but wouldn’t be surprised if McInnes goes for Findlay

Not many obvious choices to be honest

Beni makes the most sense, lot of respect in the team and will play every week (if he's fit)

Otherwise you're probably looking at Halkett but he'll never stay fit.

It’s obviously Gordon captain, Halkett vice captain. If Gordon isn’t fit or isn’t number one the armband will probably just move between whoever’s actually playing centre half (Halkett, Kent, Findlay).

Aye more than likely this with Findlay being the preferred choice.

A massive upgrade on Shankland depending on how much importance you put into these things.

Give it to shredded Halkett or Beni. Big things from the Halkett Findlay partnership this season.

Who were Del’s captains at Aberdeen? Presumably Shinnie for a bit? He gave it to big Vassell at Killie, would be amazed if he’s considering someone like Beni for it.

Halkett for me if he can stay fit.

Beni is a great player but he’s not very vocal and doesn’t strike me as a leader.

Beni will outsource his motivating to the big man upstairs; can't be having that. Halkett.

Captain rules.

No keepers and no forwards.

No nice guys.

Needs to start every week.

Needs to get the club.

Don't know anyone ticks every box there. Findlay?

Halkett is a leader for sure, my only concern is his fitness levels.

Boy in my work played against him at golf a few weeks back in some club v club tournament thing. Said he didn’t recognise him at first as he was looking so lean.

Said he remembered him playing for us at Ibrox against Rangers and he thought he just looked like a big lump, but he couldn’t believe it was the same guy.

He also said that he’s an excellent golfer and good guy to boot.

That article in the evening news is reeking.
Take It down and don't speak about it again, Deek.

Even he knows it's not the right decision, but it comes with keeping Shankland at the club.
