Hadn’t considered it before now but this team really does follow the blueprint of successful Hearts teams going back to JJ’s time and even before that. 2 imposing centre halves, tricky wingers, midfielders with grit who can play and a proper number 9 up top. It’s our fucking dna. 

It’s only when we go away from that, try to be something we’re not that things start falling apart. It’s either lack of imagination, funding or straight up mismanagement at board level that’s stopped us building on our successes in the past but I don’t think you can accuse Bloom of any of those things.
