The amount of respect he gave them in the first half was bizarre. They knock the ball about well but we were sitting in like we were playing Pep’s Barcelona.

He got it completely wrong and that has happened so much this season.

It’s weird as I still think he’s a very good manager but I can’t believe how many wrong calls he makes. I think tactically and selection wise you can get away with it if you have the charisma he does tbh.

I don't understand playing 4-4-2 the day, at all. You ken the boy Watt for them wants to get it deep and dictate the play. You ken their best player Just wants to come inside and get involved in the play. Just go man for man in midfield and stop them playing. That's the only thing our midfielders are good at, anyway

Considering the first game earlier this season where Motherwell ripped us apart for 60 mins I was expecting a change of shape to counter the big gaps.

To go with the same 4-4-2 with our makeshift right hand side and a midfield 2 with Spittal being such a massive downgrade on Beni was very disappointing.

Agreed but there was a very clear shift in that we sat off them like they were peak Barca first half. 10 behind the ball at all times. Couldn't believe that nonsense man.

We gave up the midfield by playing Spittal for more than an hour. I couldn't even begin to understand that one.

Del has had himself tied in knots over the strongest 11 all season tbh. Individual moments have papered over that particular crack but now the form has dipped, some strange decisions are being exposed.

Can’t be too critical as it has been an amazing start but it feels like we’re doing it with one hand tied behind our back. I hope this right hand side nonsense is over and we can start building back up.

Del has said that the subs changed the game in motherwells favour so back to tried and trusted players for next game!

Our changes were like for like, so I'm not sure what he was expecting. Motherwell changed to focus on their wingers, especially Said, so of course it changed in their favour. 

Concerning that these tactics aren't working, and we are choosing to throw Spittal and Forrest into these games.

Benoit had it spot on when he said inverted wingers only works when you’ve got your full backs able to push up to create space for them 

For us that has to be Borch and Milne
