Safe to assume us, Celtic, Rangers, and probably Motherwell and Hibs will make the top 6. I'm going to assume the combination of a new manager and a game in hand sees Aberdeen make it too.
On the first 33 games completed, that'd see us:
Celtic - 2 at Tynecastle, 1 at Parkhead
Rangers - 1 at Tynecastle, 2 at Ibrox
Motherwell - 2 at Tynecastle, 1 at Fir Park
Hibs - 2 at Tynecastle, 1 at Easter Road
Aberdeen - 2 at Tynecastle, 1 at Pittodrie
So our fixtures if not messed with post split, would be:
Celtic A
Rangers H
Motherwell A
Hibs A
Aberdeen A
Is that right that after the split we'd end up with 4 away games out of 5? Does it work like that? Suppose given our first 33 games it'd be fair, but, it doesn't look it after the split. Aren't we all meant to end up with 2 at home and 3 away, or, the other way round?
Given our record at Pittodrie. And recently at Easter Road. That feels immediately 0 points. At least we'd be due Rangers at home and they look the more likely challenger for the league.
This split worries me. I don't know how they'll do us - but - they'll do us.
