One thing we are good at is bouncing back. Shanks and Devlin back changes everything VanGaals Bitch We're clearly much more comfortable playing before they two so it's another huge chance to put the pressure on. Celtic don't have an easy game.

Schwollow

Altena - Halkett - McCart - Milne

Chesnekov - Devlin - Leonard - Kyzi

Shankland - Braga

Come on Del, lets fucking go for it and get back to overrunning teams and scoring goals.

3-0 Hearts.

That team looks so logical and I would say the strongest Hearts side (debate over Findlay aside and whether Ageu is secretly a god)

Not enough height though…

Think this being a Saturday 3pm and not a late night extravaganza is a massive plus for us. We need as many ‘normal’ feeling games as possible to the end of the season.

We need as many games with Kabore and Steinwender not playing as possible.

Steinwender isn't a good enough RB. And he's not dominant and physical enough for CH in this league.

But if you told me he went to the Bundesliga in the summer, and was now worth 10m. In a weird way I wouldn't be surprised. I think he'd excel in the right league, but that's not ours. I can't see a natural role he makes his own in our best XI. Less so when we invest further in the summer.

Kabore seems a really nice guy and I keep wishing him to do well. But it's a harsh game. He's every inch a future Livingston player, not Hearts, not even a sub for us.

Loose to Dundee, or even draw, and I think our league challenge is over. There's no room for sentiment, loyalty or thinking ahead. We NEED all three points.

The big decisions are RB - which needs to be Altena, especially at home to a lower team. We're not creating or scoring. We can't play safe. And he looked the bravest most energised (only) player we had on Saturday.

Kyziridis - stay loyal to bad form, or replace - if Mato is nowhere near fitness or ability - we probably need to keep Kyziridis and hope he rediscovers form. Spittal? - just don't like the lack of pace although I do think he offers something. But feels like as a sub.

Chesnokov / RW - love Kerjota and I'd personally like to give him a shot starting, but Del just obviously has concerns likely about tracking back. Think we need to go Chesnokov and have Kerjota ready as a super-sub. I think Chesnokov looks like he really wants to do well. Does he just need an arm around him to say - go do your thing, express yourself? He's joined a team that can't drop points and maybe he's apprehensive? He seems to be picking the safe pass. But to be fair, he is showing for the ball and not hiding.

Shankland - is he fit enough to start? If so, Shankland and Braga both up front picks itself. Can't underestimate the impact of our captain returning.

With two wingers and two CFs (please don't play Braga wide). We need two physical CMFs and got to think Leonard plus one other. Magnusson out I'm sure. Devlin back in contention!? McEntee? Not even sure what's up with Beni. Devlin's enthusiasm would be such a boost and rubs off on everyone.

This XI choice, formation, and use of subs, is really going to define our season now. I really think a draw and we're done, not just cos of points and Celtic closing the gap - but I think the player and fan mood wouldn't recover. Must win. And win well after Saturday.

The frightening reality now is it's only either a lifetime league championship or another 1986-type feeling where we officially / arithmetically lose the league with 1, 2 or most 3 games to go.

Staying positive - 4 0 win.

He’ll get that if he rolls over on Saturday and then gets a result against Cheltic next weekend.

Guessing we'll hear from McInnes today at some point to see how Shanks and Devlin are shaping up.

Season depends on it.

Milne’s missed training through the week, wonder if this means putting McCart to left back and then means more likely to put Altena as the attacking full back.

Would also mean either Steinwender or Kent in beside Halkett in the middle

Wouldn’t be against Steiny partnering Halkett this week anyway tbh. We’ll have all the ball and McCart’s left peg has a bit of the Danny Wilsons to it.

Ah, the myth that Steiny is good when he plays 10 yards to the left.

I thought he looked fucked against Killie, not like himself at all.

Most of the team looked fucked though, as they usually do after a break.
Makes no sense to me.
