Burnham blocked from standing. Labour has had a decent run for a few weeks but this'll be a case of him being outside the tent pissing in.

Think Starmer has done fairly well recently with things escalating but long term if you want to beat reform you need someone to speak to ordinary working people and for me that in Burnham.
Starmer is an absolute cunt for playing party faction politics though so he won’t look at what’s best for the country he’ll look at what’s best for his flavour of labour, even if that means royally fucking the country. Saying that still not sure the appetite is there for Burnham within Labour, it didn’t go down well at the conference just there when he came out looking to challenge. I suppose this was just his first step in returning to Westminster rather than a leadership charge though.

Braverman to reform.

Reform are to the Tories what Audioslave was to Rage Against the Machine.

Irony being of course that accepting all these mental Tories has caused Reform to absolutely stall in the polls. Hard to be anti establishment when you're hoovering up members of the failed last government left, right and centre.

Any person who has the audacity to claim that Reform are the party of the people when they are filling their ranks with failed Tory politicians needs their head examined.

These are the same people who would laud Farage as a man of the people as well so does make sense.

No sure I’m buying starmers defence on the appointment of Mandelson to US ambassador

This might end up something Starmer can't survive. Admitting you knew about Mandelson's relationship with a notorious nonce but appointing him anyway is quite something. He will probably chuck McSweeney under the bus, but this feels a hard one to come back from.

It's quite something that these cunts are gift wrapping this for Reform when all they needed to do was be semi competent.

He should step down for it, it’s an absolute disgrace.
His defence seems to be he took Mandelsons explanations at face value, the guy should’ve been nowhere near that role. My thoughts are Starmer/Mcsweeny was likely pressured by foreign interference to put him in that position and they’ve caved. I have actually praised Starmer recently for how he’s handled Trump’s nonsense but this is a joke. He has to go imo, weak little guy. Even if Mandelson did have a great explanation why would you even entertain inviting that sort of controversy? I wonder if Burnham caught wind this was about to come out and that’s why he’s tried to get into Westminster? All this Epstein stuff coming out, years and years of Tory corruption at the highest level and Starmer has put Labour right on a plate just to make sure some billionaire nonces good pal was alright. Well done mate. His reputation should’ve seen him far away from a current day Labour.

He looks pretty cooked.
It's incredible that mandelson could be appointed despite those ties. But epstein was still awash with courtiers even after going down as a massive nonce so there was evidently some belief that he still held massuve sway. For a while he did I suppose. |
