Sounds like she's more in danger of accidently beheading herself with a tin opener whilst trying to open beans that of being killed in a parisian terror attack, so i'm glad she's marked as safe.

I grew up with armed police, soldiers manning checkpoints etc. There's a reason the likes of the IRA sued for peace. No one was scared anymore. That's how you beat them. Yes, be vigilant but go about your daily life as normal.

To be fair to her it's possible a lot of friends/family etc. aren't aware of the geography of France and she wanted to avoid endless conversations.

This crossed my mind, but on a personal level I was pretty wound up by it as I checked Facebook in the first place partly because I was genuinely worried about friends who actually live in Paris. This girl has been here for two years, and I doubt I'm the only person on her Facebook who felt that way.
