Last night saw the opening of Scotland's finest folk festival with over 2000 acts performing over the next fortnight. Anyone heading through to Glasgow at any point?

I'm heading to Oran Mor tonight for The Mountain Firework Company and I'm hoping to head through on Sunday for Le Vent Du Nord.

Apologies to the PHM that I'm not going to make Ibrox tonight. I'll hand my scarf in next time I'm passing the ground.

Couple of my neighbours are off to it, nearly went, but I'm a PHM, so I'll be safely tucked up in my scratcher with a cup of cocoa at 8pm.

Pretty sure I was doing something for this on NYD at mcewan hall.

They were trying to get folk to go up north to some celtic music festival.

The Celtic Media Festival is in Inverness this year. Could be them. I'd be on it if i was you; it's based at my work and is singularly staffed by beautiful young women.

Saw Mogwai at CC last year, will hopefully take in a show. Being a PHM though I always score out the 'celtic' on my gig tickets.

Possibly.

They were just doing a wee taster to try and entice the tourists up. I don't think i'd get on their actual festival, they'll have their own guys.

Went to see Justin Townes Earle last night. Incredible gig, even though he came on half an hour early and we missed the first 3 songs Second time the cunt has done that when I've been to see him.

King Creosote with the full band tonight, and the from scotland with love film playing as well, then going to see Taraf de Haïdouks on saturday, a romanian gypsy band (should be wild, can't wait to get rekt) and then probably something picked at random on Tuesday as I have a pal visiting.
