I used to go to the barbers all the time when I had a short back and sides and it was fine. Anything more than a 2 all over and I'm going to the hairdressers.

You're paying salon prices by going to Charlie Millers and as a bloke you'll get palmed off with one of the juniors anyway. There's plenty guys who started there and have gone on to do their own thing, you'd be better going there if you wanted that sort of cut at a cheaper price with a better atmosphere. Stag Barbers on Lady Lawson Street, and Benjamins Barber on Henderson Row are two that come to mind. The latter is quite hipstery but gets the job done.

Can't remember the "rank" but it wasn't trainee or anyone higher up. They wanted to start charging me near on 40 when I stopped going to college though so just started going to a lassies house that worked for Cheynes. She left to Australia so started going to boom barbers. Not saying all barbers are shite but I've had mainly shit haircuts of them and find hairdressers better.

Both the guys I mentioned are ex-Charlie Miller that have opened their own shop, if you're wanting your hair cut by a lassies hairdresser.
