Reports in both New Yorker & NYT that thing that tipped Trump to reject Paris Agreement was Macron's boast about his death-grip handshake

He genuinely doesn't know why it's called the Paris agreement does he
I get that he's the Labour mayor of London, but surely a strong leader would respond to Trump's unpleasant attacks. I wouldn't be so unrealistic as to demand that May call him out directly, but she could very easily repeat the sentiment of Khan's message to show that she backs both her capital's mayor and, y'know, the truth.

More Nooruddean Retweeted Donald J. Trump What a strange thing to do to target the mayor of a city after a tragedy. Imagine if the UK had done that with Rudy Giuliani after 9/11 So true. To deliberately misquote him to further his own agenda, days after an attack, is as low as it gets.

Very, very true. A strong leader would, em, do so.
So did the mayor of London say don't be alarmed by the presence of troops/extra polis on the streets or did he say don't be alarmed by the presence of troops/extra polis on the streets (because there are mentalists trying to fuck you up in a really nasty way). Maybe Trump is just getting back at all the highbrows who give him a hard time for his thick ill-worded comments. He's being a prick but there is ambiguity in the mayor's statement.
e: maybe not ambiguity; that's not really the correct word but more just a case of the standard party-line calm the fuck down folks.

Let's pretend there are two ways to take it. Trump has presented it in a third utterly wrong way. He's done so in order to justify his politics. It's reprehensible.

North Korea just fired some more missiles. They always do this whenever Trump's particularly deep in the shit - and it isn't a coincidence.

I've stayed away from this for a few weeks now...I'm sure you are all very glad. I even asked Dex to delete my account here because...well...I'm a bit immature. I couldn't leave this particular gem unremarked upon though. Whenever Donald Trump is in the shit he calls North Korea to ask them to fire some missiles in order to deflect attention away from the shit he is in. Just read that again. Donald Trump is in cahoots with the North Koreans as well as the Russians. When David Icke started going down this path people voiced serious and genuine concerns about his mental health. This isn't an attempt to get into it with this poster, we've all had enough of that, nor is it my unwelcome return to posting. It's a real attempt to point out that this poster might actually be unwell.

I read it as "they're trying to capitalise on moments of weakness", but maybe I was being too charitable.

Suspect Shaun might be referring to something related to the military manoeuvres the US perform just outside North Korean waters (which predate Trump). Again, not sure if too charitable.
