I was one of those clowns. I can only blame the medication I was on at the time, or temporary fucking idiocy.

Bunter was something else.
I actually quite enjoyed watching folk losing their shit over his wiki-endorsed ramblings about how teams should stop trying because they'll never top Busby's side of 1953. Pretty much a Manchester United equivalent of the London Hearts guy in that regard, without the random facts that nobody asked for (or in Bunter's case, very few facts at all).
Best Bunter memory was when he was going on about how good/shite Scott Allan was on P&B (I can't even remember which tells it's own story).
He was saying he'd watched him play numerous times for Dundee United when someone pointed out that none of the 8 games he'd played for them had even been live on TV It might even have been Acey that pulled him up. Great stuff.

Was it not that Kennedy boy that he claimed to have seen? Only for him then to claim it was YouTube higlights he meant

Indeed he was, but it was highly amusing watching him get excited about this new found "status" of his and then seeing him crash spectacularly down to earth when those who elevated him to that level started putting the boot in. Especially as he was a shite poster all along. (02-18-2015, 10:43 AM)Sterling Archer Wrote: Was it not that Kennedy boy that he claimed to have seen? Bunter was also slapped down for claiming he had seen wee Robbo play for the Hearts.
He was still sucking on his mothers tit when Robbo hung up his boots.

Didn't he say Black was a modern day Cameron or some nonsense like that despite never seeing Cameron play?

The guy always has been, always will be, a cretinous simpleton.

I actually like you as a poster, but what you did there is an internet forum pet hate of mine. People love to insult each other in terms no-one would ever use in real life.

Do you type exactly how you talk? I didn't think most people do, except for the cretinous simpletons over the road. I've always taken it as a given that the vast majority of internet users are much more verbose than they otherwise would be in general conversation.

I do agree, but when it goes past a certain point it just feels ridiculous to me. It's quite vague and I can't give any kind of indication of exactly where that point is, but another example would be the overuse of the word 'monstrosity'. 'Odious' is another one. I just don't like it when people seem like they're overdoing it. It's not something that Walter's generally guilty of, but 'cretinous' is one of the words on my blacklist.

I see what you're getting at. If I heard someone down the pub talking like the folk on here do, myself included, I'd be highly embarrassed for them. Thankfully I can see this is a different medium to conversation, and as such, different rules apply. This is pretty much the only place I can use words other than 'aye', 'ken', and 'mate' and not get hassled. |
