Seems to know what he is doing with him tbf
Said he'd be better in wing back. That would work for the jocks.

Yep. If he was still at Dundee he wouldn't have got a sniff.

He looks pretty shit too.
Only a friendly I suppose.

I think it makes sense when you move to a bigger club you get noticed more, like look at big Jon McLaughlin, do you think he'd get picked if he was still playing for Rushden and Hove Athletic or whatever diddy team down south, no chance.

Didn't realise Hendry is older than Souttar. Pretty cool that we have Hendry, Souttar and McKenna all coming through. We've been struggling for a while.

Why didn't he pick Liam Lindsay ahead of him?

PREDICTION: Andy Robertson will go from strength to strength for Liverpool, and Paterson will join him in the Prem next season. The following year Souttar and McKenna will be excelling for top-end Championship teams.
Scotland will narrowly fail to make the play-offs with a back four of Tierney, Hendry, David Bates and Russell Martin.

Nailed it.

He's played 4 times for them. Souttar plays every week in one of the best defences in the league and helped to break a club record.

Getting close to the 50 cap mark and the hall of fame, Id imagine that would be massive for him. No reason to call up Martin who's not been playing much recently for the jocks.

Agree that it's best from our point of view for him not to be there, just thought it put paid to any idea he was left out because he/we'd asked for it. Quite telling that Berra is the one who goes to make room for younger players while Mulgrew and Martin stay too.
Edit: and that even when McLeish specifically says he wants to give youth a chance there's still no space for Souttar.

I'm more annoyed at Souttar missing out than Berra. With our options at centre back we should be building a side for the future in friendlies rather than calling up players like Mulgrew and Berra.

McGhee sacked by Barnet. Wonder what role the SFA will make up for him.

Not selecting Berra is a travesty.
Mulgrew is better than League one level - really needs to get a move. He'd actually fit in well back at Celtic as a squad rotation player.
