As long as nobody was hurt that's the main thing, you can replace a structure.

It's still a shame for the stuff that will be lost though, not just students work but the building and pretty much everything down to the last detail was designed by Mackintosh. Doesn't look like much will be salvageable this time with the roof completely collapsed in on itself.

Was just reading there that before the 2014 fire they were just about finished with the sprinkler system but it wasn't quite ready but they don't know if this time they had put one in. Absolute failure from the art school if they didn't prioritise a sprinkler system as part of their refurbishment. Especially when you look at what happened at Grenfell.
