Looks like Ed is going to ask the unions to support him forming a minority government. They reckon he'll get strong support from Labour MPs but opposition if he tries to form a coalition with the LibDems forcing a vote. Don't suppose he's got much choice other than to go it alone.

The unions have far too much sway, seemingly since the end of Blair to my knowledge anyway. For all their ills at least Cameron and Osbourne are prepared to spit in the faces of the party faithful when it's in their interests.
