Impressive list to call at 16/17 though - 4 or 5 EPL winners and a couple champions leagues Quite Good

Re: the original list, I noticed Marcus Christenson was on football weekly yesterday so assume that'll feature a bit of insight into how they put it together.

That's a bit harsh given he was rated highly until career threatening injuries sent him into a downward spiral leading to Levein's door Laugh

in Comparison to where Andy Robertson was at 17, Hickey is streets ahead.

Quite surprising how many folk were keeping tabs on the Queen's Park youth team in 2011.

Indeed.

I'd also like to point out that by the same logic, Paul Mcmullan was better than Andy Robertson at the same age.

Neil janczyk was also better than Callum Paterson at 17.

Scott robinson was better than John Mcginn at 16.

Jack Hamilton was better than Allan Mcgregor at 18.

So dumb.

Hickey got sent off against Aberdeen earlier in the season and his last couple of performances have been average but decent. Folk have decided he will become the best left back on world football though because Andy Robertson Monty Ha

It's a pointless comparison as players can go either way at these ages but I think people are just excited about a player who is playing at a higher level than our best player we've produced in years at the same age.

I don't think people are commenting on Robertson ability at that age as no one has a clue how he was doing in matches, just that Hickey is a bit more further forward in terms of where he's playing.

It's the same with tierney, I think he took until he was about 19 to properly establish himself in the Celtic squad. It's encouraging that Hickey is ahead of where these 2 class players were, but doesn't mean he'll ever play at the level they are now. A great position to be in though at 17.

What I meant was it's pretty tough to say what 16 year old at what level is going to be the next big thing. In terms of being identified as being good enough at his age hickey is more advanced than Robertson, as he is playing for a premier league side and Robertson was kicking about in league 2 for an amateur side.

Did Robertson join Queens for a bit after a Celtic released him? Fuck me, that's a new yin, never heard that before.
