Top trolling tbf. Wonder though if the SNP's most ardent (/mental) supporters will be happy with this, after all the tears and snottters of Labour doing the same stay in a Union.

A few raging cybernats might get shown up but other than that nobody will care and Im sure Sturgeon and Salmond will make sure to distance themselves a hell of a lot more than Ed and Nick did

One of the reasons that Nats give for now hating the Red Tories is that they stood shoulder to shoulder with the Tories during the referendum. :lol: This will be lost on most of the bammers though.

I don't really think it's hypocritical of nationalists to want to stay in the EU.

The EU doesn't really define the way in which your country is run. I think the problem for a lot of people was they didn't feel they were getting the gvt they as a country were voting for.

The EU is pretty different. It seems like maybe people are making out that it was just blind hatred for the English that people voted yet which is just a petty augment. Obviously there will be some people who did just like there will be some that want to leave the EU because fuck polish people but they are in the minority.

Makes sense but it's hard to see why something like this isn't already in place considering how long we've known about supermarket waste.

The freegans will be up in arms that their way of life is being destroyed.

I've made that point before and would like to see something here implemented too.

I don't think you should be forced to do it and jail time is ridiculous imo but there should be incentives for supermarkets/fast food chains etc where there's shit loads of waste to be handed over to people who need it.

A huge proportion of our laws come from the EU. Massive amounts. The courts in the UK can be overturned by the European courts.

You have a tiny say in how the EU is governed. Think it's bad with the number of Scottish MPs at Westminster? Look at how the European Parliament is made up.

I'm proEU because I think the benefits outweigh the negatives. When you're in union you have to compromise - you do so because you think it's better to be in than out.

The arguments for the UK and EU are one and the same. You sacrifice sovereignty for other benefits.

I know a lot of laws come from the EU but it doesn't change the principles the country is run on. Scotland clearly doesn't want to be run by a right wing conservative gvt. It as a country doesn't buy into that ideology at all.

The EU laws don't really effect that massively. I don't think yes voters would have a problem with Westminster if they actually gave a fuck about Scotland but they don't. We're essentially seen as a nuisance they cbf with. People aren't voting yes because of this romanticised idea that they're going to break loose of westminsters shackles and 'muh freedom,' it's wanting what's best for Scotland which many feel is a government that rules with Scottish interests at the heart of it. Not sure why that can't co-exist with being in the EU. Yes of course the EU isn't set up to pander to what Scotland needs but as you say the benefits would outweigh the negatives.

I think it's pretty obvious the way Scotland is heading politically, a conservative party and the labour party as it is now have no place in it.

Not sure what that's got to do with an independent Scotland working as part of the EU though? I'd say an independent Scotland would rely pretty heavily on the trade agreements and free movement of people in its early years.

If you're referring to the SNP they're a hodge podge of every part of the spectrum from socialists to the right of centre. They're popular because of their constitutional position (amongst others).

But we have a devolved parliament anyway.

Scotland is fucked now tbh, gain independence and the country is utterly fucked economically, don't and we're stuck with an inept SNP government. Can't even move in to Europe to get away from it all as the eurozone is crippled anaw
