Watched a few episodes of After Life a while ago. It just seemed to have one joke: someone calls someone else a cunt, contrary to expectations of polite society.

Finished The Stranger last night. Monty Chuckle Ridiculous nonsense, but entertaining.

Finished that a week or so ago, quite enjoyed it but definitely nonsense.

'I'm you sister' was such an obviously dreadful ending I couldn't believe they actually went for it Warnock

Did they just decide they'd lost the thread of why Jennifer Saunders was being blackmailed and not bother resolving it?

I'm rewatching it at the moment with the missus who's never seen it. Top quality TV.

Neighbours are watching Prison Break for the first time just now and we're having daily chats over the fence about what going on in it Warnock

I lost it when Armitage's older son ended up in Katz's car. Zlat I mean, come the fuck on. Also:
  • Katz not noticing the tons and tons of rat poison barely hidden in his garage.
  • The fat boy being able to wander through a town centre with an alpaca before biting and beheading it without being noticed by anyone / CCTV
  • The Norn Irish boy deciding not to dispose of the body in his wall when acutely aware that it would 100% be discovered once his house was inevitably demolished.
  • The neighbour not just disposing of Corrine's phone, instead of taking it to that bridge and just leaving it. Why even do that?
  • Adam being a partner in a law firm, and never going to the office / doing any work other than occasionally rocking up at a client's home.  Monty Chuckle
  • The cop deciding to frame Katz for the murder at the end, despite Katz being in police custody at the time, and forensics / CCTV of car journeys presumably being able to establish that he couldn't have done it. Just say that you saw Adam shoot the neighbour in self-defence during a struggle ffs; far less risky.
  • The girl being able to conceal then hand Adam a gun while in an ambulance without being noticed.
  • Corrine not speaking to her husband about the missing money, given that it presumably took place long before the fake pregnancy stuff came out, and it's definitely the sort of thing you would confide in your husband over if you know that you're likely to be implicated as treasurer.
  • Why the football coach would bother getting a blackmailer involved in the first place - he has almost no motivation. How much money can a wee community football club just have sitting about in its bank account, anyway?  Monty Chuckle
  • Why the girl would spike the fat boy's drink and rely on him doing something daft, rather than just "outing" him as a pedo, which would be far far worse for him.  Monty Chuckle
  • Why the neighbour would kill Corrine for the sake of a wee bit of money, when he's driving a £40k Range Rover.  Monty Chuckle Thought the "keeping up appearances" stuff was really weak.
  • How Katz got Corrine's key fob in the first place, and why anyone would think that she was a decent person to pin a murder on.
  • Why the sugar baby thing took up so much police time and resources. Whole police force going out on a sting operation to get a guy for - at worst - a tax fraud?  Monty Chuckle
  • Why the cop would say "you never know" when Adam says that he hopes Katz gets life, when she should know that a life sentence is mandatory for murder (let alone more than one murder), so you absolutely 100% do know what he's going to get  Monty Chuckle
    (etc)
One of those shows where they're so keen on the red herrings that having to tie it all together leaves it making almost no sense.

You'll love it Pondy, it's an excellent show, plenty twists and turns to keep you going.

I only saw it a couple of years ago as one of the boys I used to work with was raving about it so much. Fuck, he even named his kid after the lead character. Laugh

Another one who still needs to watch the sopranos, will need to get round to it.

Have been watching gangs of London, it's a good story but some of the acting especially from the main boy from peaky blinders is grating Laugh Really good though.

Was watching that Save Me as well, got the baddy from line of duty season 1 in it. I really liked season 1 but without spoiling it thought it would've been changed up a bit for season 2 so not sticking with it as much now. Got a class cast Stephen Graham, Lenny James and suranne Jones.

Second series is nowhere near as good as the first series Morph, so you're not missing much to be honest. Stephen Graham, Suranne Jones & Ade Edmondson are hardly in it this time around, as the focus is more on Lenny James' character.

It's still an alright watch, but not as good as series one.

Season 4 is so bad, and didn't even bother with the one from last year (did anyone?).

Aye I kind of got that. I really enjoyed 1 but just stopped being so invested in it when the story wasn't wrapped up and moved onto season 2. I like TV shows like that to have distinctive story lines but maybe I just need to have a better attention span Laugh
