If they weren't rich and white they'd have had all of that anyway and been in jail.

The German prosecutor also said, in the last couple of days, she could still be alive and he hasnt interviewed the suspect.

What would be the purpose of putting them in jail? They aren't a threat to anyone and they've already been punished by having their young daughter murdered.

Think some people are going to have to let up on this McCann thing because it's no longer a big conspiracy murder. The parents made a huge mistake (both sets of parents that is not just the mccanns) but I dunno how anyone can say they've not been put through enough now, knowing they had nothing to do with it.

Surely after all this time you can see that there isn't value in incarcirating the parents for years. If you are truely succumbed by this hatred, try and channel some of that energy into the German paedo gang child killer.

They have put a statement on their website saying they've received no letter saying she's dead.

One day its 'she's still alive', next its 'a letter she's dead'. Another saying 'they've spoke to the suspect at length', then 'we've not spoke to him'.

There's nae reason the kids couldn't have been down at the bar with them like.

It was idiotic what they did but surely leaving your kids alone would be at the very most punishable by having your kids removed from you by child protection?  

I don't get how having your young kid murdered because of your actions isn't seen as enough punishment, I don't have any myself but I imagine it all but ruins your entire life.

I don't get how having your young kid murdered because of your actions isn't seen as enough punishment, I don't have any myself but I imagine it all but ruins your entire life.

The resort they were at had a kids club but there was nothing in the evening for them so the kids all got papped into their rooms so the parents could enjoy themselves. Total selfishness not just from the McCanns but the whole group. Not saying folks lives should revolve around their kids but if you're going on a family holiday at least make sure it's family friendly

I'll not even nip to the shop less than 50 yards from my house when the kids are sleeping, same with leaving them in the car for <5mins to pop into a shop. I know the chances of something happening are minuscule but not worth taking the risk

No doubt we were all brought up with questionable parenting practices tbh, though. It's true times have changed and they should've known better.

Do you need a kids club though?  Surely you just take the kids with you?  Every single holiday I went on with my parents I remember being out with them while they had a few drinks.  The only time we got papped off so they could get on it is if my grandparents etc were there.   I never thought it was a problem in tourist places like Spain/Portugal etc I just assumed you could always take kids into places that served drinks.

If my mum was working we used to walk home from Primary school and wait on my big sister getting in from high school. Was only like 10/15mins but wouldn't dream of doing that with my two

It was around the time of Robert Black snatching kids off the streets that I noticed my parents suddenly get more protective over letting my sister and me out late/walk home.
