We were awful, but anyone could see that. He's meant to be a leading journalist but, other than saying Gilmour for Christie, he offers no breakdown of what went wrong let alone solutions.

Any journalist with criticism of Clarke has 'value'. Most of them are too scared to tell it like it is in case he reacts. The narrative around this manager needs to change, it's not true that he's some sort of messiah. The last year has been abysmal.

Ah didn’t realise 3rd goes through - is that just straight through in 3rd then?

Tbh I said before the tournament we have all this optimism but we could easy get pumped in all 3 of these games

Since we beat Cyprus 3 zip we've had one win and one clean sheet in our last 10, both against Gibraltar. Scored 12 and conceded 26

I didn't watch either of the warm ups but did we not test anything out? Clear as day this formation can't work any more, even the likes of Northern Ireland and Finland have figured it out. The whole point in coming up with the formation was to fit Robbo and Tierney both in but it relies on also having a brilliant wing back on the right and Gilmour at the base of midfield. It didn't look like they'd even bothered thinking about whether it would work without them. Was also built on Tierney bombing forward, either he can't do it anymore or he's told not to, so the whole thing's wasted.
Felt a bit sorry for Ralston out there tbh. He's a jobbing back-up full back in the SPFL, not his fault he's been drafted in and asked to play wing-back against one of the hottest talents in world football Of course he got ripped to shreds.

Needs a total rethink but chances of that? Just go to a formation the team are already comfortable with. Would like to see:

Met the open goal boys yesterday we are now tight. Big Kev hair transplant is the worst thing I've seen since my slim shady effort.

We could’ve been more competitive last night but I don’t think even with a fully fit selection and us at our best there was a Scottish team that would’ve avoided defeat from the Germans last night.

Embarrassment could’ve been avoided but they were superb particularly that musiala lad. The worry is we go and perform the same in the next 2 which I can see happening, our run in to this tournament has been total shite even if people want to kid themselves on with this “won 80% of our last 18 competitive games” or whatever that stat was.

Clarke in tournament football: played 4, scored 2 (1 OG) and conceded 10. Mad that folk think we are going to get anything from these next two games.

When you put it like that

Mind Gunn had a couple of early howlers to chuck the playoffs about a month ago as well
Send the cunt back to the lower leagues where he belongs and never make him play in a big game again.

I would go to a back four and drop Robertson. Whether he’s a better player than Tierney or not there’s no debate Tierney is the better player for Scotland.

As folk have said though there’s zero chance Clarke switches from a back 5 now. Even if he did he’d come in for deserved criticism for having never really tried anything else in the build up.

Switzerland will beat us up and Hungary will probably scrape a 2-0 win.
