As the PM's dog he officially holds rank with the army. I know it seems silly, but it's tradition so totally normal for that dog - who is a Brigadier General - to be wearing a poppy to remember people who fought in a war that is completely out of living memory.

They've put dozens of big plastic poppies in the trees near East End Park and Dunfermline centre. Looks both naff as fuck and an ecological disaster.
