Clarity regarding how to tactically set up.

Your post there is already suggesting that we go to avoid defeat rather than go for the win. It’s classic stick or twist football and any teams have been caught in the middle.

Let’s chill, we certainly don’t want to be having to win Laugh

We want to go there with a healthy lead and play out the dullest 0-0 draw in history.

Playing for a 0-0 Dismay

Nope, not for me. You’ve demonstrated my point perfectly there. Will be raging if we do that and it will fuck us over and not going in for the kill will be stuck in my head for the next decade at least.

Ideal scenario is going there knowing we can afford to lose by no more than 2/3 goals as I believe we can score at least 1 against them so that means they need to out 4 or 5 past us which I can’t see them being able to do

That’s if we don’t seal it tomorrow

Aye that Rangers cup final still boils my piss playing to stop them and giving them free reign then we offered nothing when we had to go for it

There's plenty clarity in going with a game plan not to lose.

My post is suggesting nothing except that we do what's needed to win the league.

This is concerning that the fans may be on board with a 'play for a draw' tactic, especially with Halkett out.

That type of approach is biting us on the arse big time.

Our best chance of getting a win or draw at Parkhead is Shankland and Braga outscoring and taking advantage of Trusty and Scales. We must go for it regardless - cannot be playing for a 0-0 Dismay

Fair enough and it's a valid opinion.

In my view this approach will more likely result in a Hearts L. Having a plan that tries to play how the league is sitting, instead of full focus on winning the football match is the wrong approach for this occasion, imo. This isn't grandstanding when I say I believe we are the better team, so we should go out, demonstrate that, and in the process, silence that crowd.

If we're 2-0 up with 10 minutes left, then sure, bring on McCart and shut up shop and let them come onto us, absorb pressure. But I'll be pleading to the Del gods that we set up to win the game rather than 'not to lose'. Imo, will bite us on the bum, especially with Halks out.

Send the boys out with a clear message - win the game, wipe the floor of them, grasp that brass ring and the league will take care of itself. AP's approach of, if we are tied in the league, play for a 0-0 - I think that will chuck us the league. Hope I'm wrong.

We’ve got McInnes in charge so he’ll have the gameplan set for us, we’ll be tough to break down but enough going forward so we can threaten them and get a goal when the chances come

It’ll be somewhere between the two I’d say, he’s not one to sit in and defend anyway unless we’re up after 70 minutes then we fill the team with centre half’s

What was that about clarity again... Monty Chuckle

But you are right, it creates a situation where you are stuck between two philosophies and I put my trust in Del to figure it out. If he gets it wrong, so be it. I'm not going to cane him. But it will play on my mind for at least 10 years if we set up negative against the worst Celtic side in modern history and get sucker punched for it. Monty LewLew

I'm already feeling sorry for Steiny when we lose Maeda 1-0 from a Steiny slip. Sad

Whatever Del does will be right and if it doesn't work out then so be it Jezza

If we go out and try and win the game and get beat some folk will say we should've kept it tighter. If we go try keep it tight and play for the counter then some folk will say we should've seized the opportunity to go for it.

The guy has done the impossible getting us here so whatever he does will be the logical decision.

Agreed. Feel like we can get after them as they are a shaky team. But win/lose or draw, I'll back Del's tactical choice in this one, even though it may haunt me. Warnock

However, for the purposes of fora debate, I will be pushing back against the 'play for a draw' crowd if we end up level in the league late Wednesday night.

Hearts winning 1 0 knowing Celtic are winning too. We need to defend as all that matters is 3 points. GD won't play a role on the final day in any way.

Then Motherwell equalise.

All of a sudden GD becomes likely essential. Hearing this we'd need to gamble and pour forward for more goals. No?

Just go out and look to put at least two or three passed them. If Motherwell get a result, superb but we need to approach this thinking it's going to go down to Saturday.

Not got any worries about the MENTALITEH under Del, though.

Just get the shree points tomorrow.

If the goals rain in then happy days but we can’t be complicating things.

I suppose if we are 2-0 up Del has a sub choice to make, bring on Mccart for 2-0 or bring on Kerjota to go for 4-0 but risk a 2-1.
