Brutal news, in the same week the SG are getting a hard time for mental health and coupled with the fact it's the leading cause of death for young men you'd hope it will get someone to wake up to some extra investment into working on the issues.

Only small mercy for the family (assuming it is him as there is a lot of people go off there) is the body washed up quickly and didn't go on for weeks like a lot of others do.

He played some solo stuff at the idlewild gig I was at few months ago. Cracking jokes and absolute adulation from the crowd.

Just shows you never know what can happen when someone falls into a mental crisis.

Only seen him 2 weeks ago playing at the Art School.
Must have seen Frightened Rabbit at least 10 times over the years and Midnight Organ Fight is one of my favourite albums.

So sad he felt this was the only option. He was and always will be loved by so many folk. Can't imagine what is brother is going through right now.

I think he had phoned someone close and was distressed. He was known to disappear for days at a time to collect his thoughts so the family must have had a fair bit of hope. Terrible.

I read the whole article trying to find something saying Kashinda and couldn't, then couldn't figure out how it was anything to do with me.

I was quite excited to see an actual Kashinda reference. Oh well.
