Blake: Put. That coffee. Down. Coffee's for closers only.
Dave Moss: What's your name? Blake: Fuck you. That's my name. You know why, mister? You drove a Hyundai to get here. I drove an eighty-thousand dollar BMW. THAT'S my name. And your name is you're wanting. You can't play in the man's game, you can't close them - go home and tell your wife your troubles. Because only one thing counts in this life: Get them to sign on the line which is dotted. You hear me you fucking faggots? A-B-C. A-Always, B-Be, C-Closing. Always be closing. ALWAYS BE CLOSING. A-I-D-A. Attention, Interest, Decision, Action. Attention - Do I have you attention? Interest - Are you interested? I know you are, because it's fuck or walk. You close or you hit the bricks. Decision - Have you made your decision, for Christ? And Action. A-I-D-A. Get out there - you got the prospects coming in. You think they came in to get out of the rain? A guy don't walk on the lot lest he wants to buy. They're sitting out there waiting to give you their money. Are you gonna take it? Are you man enough to take it? What's the problem, pal?

That wasn`t my first viewing it and it won`t be my last.
Speaking of Old Gil, Jack Lemmon played the pretzel guy in the Simpsons episode where Marge starts her own business. Â An episode I`ll always love for the Fat Tony line to Hans Moleman "This is a pretzel town pretty boy"

Ho-mer. Anyway, flushed with memories of Frank "Gill before Gill" Ormand, i decided to review the episode on wikipedia. The article ends with the line, "The A.V. Club named the baseball commentator's line "Aaaannnd heeerrre come the pretzels" one of the quotes from The Simpsons that can be used in everyday situations.[8]" I've never found an everyday situation that i can work that line in to, but will be trying very hard from now on.

Glengarry Glen Ross
![]() One of my all time favourites. The performances from Jack Lemmon, Alec Baldwin, Al Pacino and Ed Harris in particular are incredible. Baldwin's "fuck you, that's my name" speech is obviously the big showstopper, but just as good IMO is Pacino's sales pitch in the bar about absolute morality. Such a good introduction to the character.

+1 for Glengarry Glen Ross. Incredible performances from all involved. Just a terrific, dialogue driven film. I watched it for the first time on Christmas Eve years ago and I usually watch it every Christmas now.

Still a 10/10 movie. Quote:Who? Who? What are you? A fucking owl?

BECAUSE SHE GOT A... GRRRRRRREAT ASS
![]() Loads of that is totally unscripted, that's why Hank Azaria says "Jesus Christ" and Pacino chuckles out "hahaha ferocious aren't I". Great scene

Hannah and Her Sisters - Good Woody Allen = great movie. Only creepy bit was where you saw his stepdaughter, the one he went on to marry, as one of the extras aged 5
It references a Bergman movie and i totally got that, so loads of movie geek points to me.# Also watched Back to School with Rodney Dangerfield. Hadn't seen it since i was quite young. Still wonderful.
