The problem was trying to make it a Brad Pitt movie. There's no central character in the book which is what sets it apart from other books in the genre. As a film in its own right it's decent enough but as an adaptation it's fucking terrible.

Watched Clerks 2 last night 7/10

Just behind Dogma as my favourite Kevin Smith movie. Apparently 3 is in the pipeline, not sure how it'll work but can't be worse than Red State.

Fortunately/Unfortunately, it was his production company that made the film possible, so it's not really a surprise it turned into a Brad-Movie.

I see there's a WWZ2 in pre-production now as well.

The only saving grace would be the inclusion of General Raj Singh who in my opinion was the one character in the book who stood out yet was shamefully omitted from the film.

Huge kevin smith fan. The Lord of the rings scene is amazing in clerks 2 Laugh . I actually liked Red State and watched it again recently. The Twitter back and forth between him and the Phelps woman during production was great. Pretty sure they picketed the premiere anaw Laugh

I might need to watch it again. I'd listened to his making of podcasts and probably built it up more too much in my head beforehand. The LOTR scene is fucking amazing.

I think he's making a new Clerks film and a sequel to Mallrats.

K2: Siren of the Himalayas
2009 attempt shadowing the Duke of Abruzzi's failed attempt 100 years prior.

Edit: Forgot to add that I'd give it a 7; decent but there are more interesting and better shot mountaineering docs out there.

Hot girls wanted

Pretty shitty insight into amateur pornography. All these young lassies thinking they're going to be the next star, only to get 2 or 3 shoots then offered the weirdo jobs.

$60 dollars extra for cream pie and half of them aren't even on the pill Warnock

Die Welle (The Wave)

A German film about a teacher who decides to teach his class about fascism by making them all wear the same uniform, stand up when giving answers and do a wee salute etc. the kids end up getting well into it and battering anyone not in the class and generally running about like nazis Warnock completely unbelievable (the whole change takes place over one week) but entertaining. 6/10

Went to see Jurassic World tonight. Tell you what, the dialogue is awful, the acting is terrible, and the storyline is exactly the same as the other three films, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. 8/10.

Also watched The Equalizer the other night. Again, everything about it should have made me hate it. The 'twists' were extremely predictable, the storyline was your bog-standard American hero/vigilante schtick and Denzel Washington plays his standard 'magic negro' role, but it was still a great watch. Add in a spattering of Chloë Grace Moretz (always been a fan of hers :begbie: ) and you've got yourself an 8/10 action flick.
